ADULT SPORTS

Sports are not just for kids. Stay active, keep fit, and have fun in one of our sports classes or many open gyms. We also offer different adult sports leagues that are open to all skill levels and abilities.

Classes and Lessons

Tennis and Pickleball Lessons

Our tennis and pickleball lessons are held indoors at Strawberry Hill Park, Battle Point Park, or Eagledale Park.

Open Gyms

Open Gyms

Open gyms are held in the Bainbridge High School lower gym and BIRC. There is a $7 drop-in fee for adults and a $5 drop-in fee for seniors and youth. Frequent visitors have the option to purchase 10- or 20-visit punch passes for a discounted rate. Passes are available for purchase at both the gym and BIRC.

Basketball

The pros have an off-season, but the real die-hards play year round! All skill levels welcome.

Fridays, 6:00-8:00p

Pickleball

Pickleball is open to all skill levels, even those that have never played before. Pickleballs provided, some loaner paddels available.

Coed Volleyball

Come join the fun and play coed open gym volleyball, with up to three courts to play on. All skill levels are welcome.

Adult Sports Leagues

Several opportunities are available foer those who wish to participate in team sports. If you’re interested in creating a new league, contact Audree Gormanson at audreeg@biparks.org

Adult Walks

Meet new friends and develop a new appreciation of our island home. Most of our walks combine roads and trails, with a  comfortable pace of about 25 minutes/mile (and occasional pauses at points of interest.) We walk rain or shine; please be prepared for a steep hill or two and a little mud if it’s been raining.
