The Forest-to-Sky Trail connects the District’s most popular trail system, the Grand Forest West Trail System, to one of its most popular parks, Battle Point Park.  The trail provides a serene walk through forestland featuring a 100 foot boardwalk through a wetland area.

Other trails nearby include the Grand Forest West Trail System, accessed from the parking lot on Miller Road NE, and the Battle Point Trail System, accessed from 3 different parking areas at Battle Point Park.

The Forest-to-Sky Trail links the Grand Forest West Nature Preserve to Battle Point Park and can be accessed from either end.  The trailhead at the Grand Forest West Nature Preserve is located on Miller Road NE, just north of NE Tolo Road.  This parking lot only has a capacity of 8 vehicles, however, roadside shoulder parking also exists.  There are no restroom or trash facilities at this trailhead.  The trail can also be accessed from the southeast corner of Battle Point Park.  There are 3 parking lots at the park that all access the Battle Point Trail System, which connects to the Forest-to-Sky Trail.  Battle Point Park has restrooms and trash facilities.  This trail is a part of the Cross Island Trail.
