The Grand Forest West Trail System is the most popular trail system on Bainbridge Island and consists 2.95 miles of forested trails meandering along hillsides, wetlands, and streams. Portions of this trail serve as part of the Cross Island Trail.
Other trails nearby include the Hilltop Trail, which connects the Grand Forest West Trail System to the Grand Forest East Trail System, and the Forest-To-Sky Trail, accessed from the same trailhead on Miller Road NE.
The Grand Forest West Trail System can be accessed from a parking lot located at 9752 Miller Road NE, just north of NE Tolo Road. This parking lot only has a capacity of 8 vehicles, however, roadside shoulder parking also exists.
