This relatively flat 1-mile loop trail winds around the 40-acre Blakely Harbor Park and features wildlife viewing platforms and seating, a meadow, and interpretive displays. The park sits atop land that formerly housed the Port Blakely Mill, one of the world’s largest sawmills in the late 1800’s.
Other nearby trails include the Blakely Cemetery Trail, accessed from roadside parking on Blakely Avenue NE, and the Fort Ward-to-Blakely Trail, accessed from a trailhead on NE Country Club Road.
The Blakely Harbor Trail can be accessed via the parking lot at the intersection of Blakely Ave and Blakely Hill Rd as well as the multiple roadside shoulder parking areas
