12/7/23 Board Meeting
The public is invited to attend meetings of the Park District Board of Commissioners. Regular board meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 6:00 pm. Agendas are posted on Wednesday, the week before regular board meetings. Board packets are posted the Friday before regular board meetings. Camping at Fay Bainbridge Park
Fay Bainbridge Park is a 17-acre marine camping park with 1,420 feet of saltwater shoreline on the northeast corner of Bainbridge Island. The park offers sweeping views of Puget Sound and the Cascade Mountains and features sandy beaches. On clear days, Mount Rainier and Mount Baker are visible from a sandy beach.
With 14 campsites, 26 RV sites, five cabins, and an ADA-accessible site, you can enjoy hiking, boating, kayaking, fishing, and much more year-round.

Passage
Chuck Field, executive director of Bainbridge Island Park & Recreation District from 1980 to 1998, passed away November 27, 2023, at Swedish Hospital.
During his 18-year tenure with the District, Chuck was instrumental in securing many parcels of property for the District including Manzanita Park, Gideon Park, West Port Madison Park, Camp Hopkins (Yeomalt), Fairy Dell Park, Gazzam Lake Preserve, the Grand Forest, Meigs Park, and Pt. White Pier.
He also worked to establish recreation opportunities for the community such as the Bainbridge Island Teen Center, the Bainbridge Island Senior Center, Boys and Girls Gymnastics Teams, and the Bainbridge Island Swim Club.
Chuck was commended by the District Board of Directors for his outstanding service to the citizens of Bainbridge Island and his dedication to the Bainbridge Island Park & Recreation District on August 13, 1998.
