Provide each student with a diverse gymnastics experience in a safe, caring, fun environment that supports positive self-esteem, self-discipline, motivation, and excellence in learning.
The gymnastics program offers classes for all ages, beginning with toddlers and continuing on through competitive levels. The developmental gymnastics program helps to introduce and refine total body awareness, strength and coordination. Because gymnastics classes are offered all year, we have the opportunity to instill in children the need for physical activity as a lifestyle.
The Gymnastics Department manages two facilities. The Transmitter building at Battle Point Park and the Bainbridge High school gymnastics room for the use of our programming.
Quick look at how the Gymnastics Department is doing their part to keep everyone as safe as possible while still staying active and having fun:
- Check-in screening: temperature check and questions pertaining to symptoms of Covid-19
- Cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning: the staff cleans the equipment after use by each participant (participants get assigned a station/drill to work on for a selected amount of time, then staff cleans off the station before participants rotate to the next station in order to limit contact)
- Masks: Staff wears masks at all times; participants are required to masks throughout class, with the exception of being able to remove the mask during times of strenuous activity or when the mask could move and cause potential hazards like during tumbling.
- Separate doors for entering and exiting to limit contact.
