Responsibilities of the coaching staff include deck hours, assisting with events, attending swim meets, team functions, season planning, and assisting with the planning and implementation of a successful swim season. Additional administrative duties will also be necessary, such as tracking athlete progress and email communications of the organization of team documents. Extra hours are available working with the Bainbridge Aquatic Masters team, including an additional time commitment of 3-4 hours per week. Responsibility would include communication, lesson planning, and understanding of adult athletes’ unique physical skills and limitations.

Qualifications: Strong understanding of the sport of swimming and the rules and regulations. Sound knowledge of stroke mechanics and training/teaching techniques. 3+ years of competitive swim experience. Ability to obtain all relevant USA Swimming coach certifications before start date. 2+ years of coaching experience preferred.

Join our highly trained and dedicated aquatic team at Bainbridge Island Aquatic Center. We offer a variety of programs and independent aquatic activities such as water fitness, swim teams, dive teams, swim lessons, and instructional courses.

Responsibilities: The Senior Lifeguard functions as a shift manager responsible for customer service, pool safety, events, shift duties, supervision, evaluations, drills, training, operations, troubleshooting, first aid, emergency services, problem-solving, reports, and other functions.

Qualifications: Must be 15 years of age or older; must possess or have the ability to obtain:

  • Current American Red Cross Waterpark Lifeguard Certification
  • Current American Red Cross First Aid & CPR for the Professional Rescuer Certification

Compensation: 12-step salary scale starting at $19.62. Starting wage DOE. Paid staff training and orientation.
