YOUTH SPORTS AND FITNESS

We offer a wide variety of sports opportunities for all ages. Choose from basketball, soccer, tennis, volleyball, lacrosse, wrestling, seasonal and recreational league sports, and individual recreational sports.

Multi-Sport

Volunteers play an essential part in offering so many sports to the community! If you are interested in volunteering to help with a sport, contact Sports Program manager Audree Gormanson at audreeg@biparks.org.

Recreation Companion

A Recreation (Rec) Companion is a trained BIMPRD staff member or volunteer who provides individualized attention and support to facilitate an individual’s program participation.  The Rec Companion program strives to provide support for all participants, regardless of ability, wanting to participate in any recreation program.

VOLLEYBALL

Volleyball is one of the fastest-growing sports for girls. Our classes teach basic to advanced techniques, including passing, setting, proper forms, styles, and other ways to learn and improve your game. We also offer a recreational spring and fall league for girls grades 5-9.
Spring season: January-March & April- May; Fall Season: September-November

YOUTH FITNESS

We offer a variety of fitness opportunities for all age levels and all fitness levels to enjoy. We have ongoing fitness and drop-in classes you can join anytime—looking to exercise outdoors? Be sure to use our many parks and trails for hiking, walking, running, and biking.

Anne Howard Lindquist leads our running and cross-country programs. Anne (Go Run for Girls) is a long-time runner and the current Bainbridge High School Cross Country coach.

Camps
We offer a variety of multi-sport theme and activity camps for school aged kids. Looking for something more sports-specific? Check out our tennis, lacrosse, soccer, volleyball, and basketball clinics and camps.

INDOOR CLASSES, LESSONS, AND CLINICS

Tennis and Pickleball

Our youth indoor tennis and pickleball lessons are held at the Bainbridge Island Recreation Center. We have a variety of lessons and classes for kids ages 4-18. Contact Dayna Guizzetti at daynag@biparks.org

OUTDOOR CLASSES, LESSONS, AND CLINICS

Soccer

Our soccer classes for kids ages 1.5-4 are designed to be fun first. Kids will learn listening skills, balance, foot-eye-coordination, and of course, soccer skills.

Tennis and Pickleball

We’ve got youth tennis and pickleball at the Bainbridge High School and Battle Point Park. Lessons, clinics, and tournaments for all levels ages 3-18.

 Special Accomodations

To ensure your camper’s success at All-Day-Explorer Camp, Please contact the Park District at least two weeks before the start of the program if special accommodations are required. This allows us to assess and determine if we can adequately provide the necessary support. We are committed to creating an inclusive and enriching experience for every participant.
