Poetry with John Willson
John Willson has taught the Poetry Writing Workshop with the Park District’s Arts & Cultural programs since 1991. In an atmosphere of positive, constructive criticism, he tries to nudge workshop conversations about poems toward a balance between nuts-and-bolts comments-where to break a line or stanza, where a different word or phrase might be more effective and the overall impact of the poem on the level of emotion, how the poem makes us feel.

Spanish with Will Perkins
Will Perkins has taught Spanish from the beginning through literature for many years. He tends to reduce dependence on traditional grammar instruction instead of narrating Spanish stories that students can understand right from the first class. Will has spent lots of time in Seville, Spain, and in different parts of Mexico.
