Pups in the Pool

The Don Nakata Pool is getting a fresh new pool liner. Bring your dogs for a dip in the pool before the work begins!

$30 per dog/human guardian
$10 per extra human observer

12:00-12:45p Kitsap Humane Society Dogs
1:15-2:45p Small Dogs Only
3:30-5:00p All Dog Sizes
5:45-7:15p All Dog Sizes
Participant Rules/Guidelines:
– For the safety of all participants (four and two-legged), every dog must be accompanied by a human designated guardian which is included in the registration fee. The ratio is 1:1 – 1 dog:1 human.
-Extra human observers must be 12 years or older. Due to safety concerns, no children under the age of 12 will be allowed.
-All participants must sign an event and parks liability waiver upon entry. Minors must have a waiver signed by a parent/guardian.
-Enter at your own risk. All normal facility rules apply.
-Well socialized dogs only. No aggressive dogs.
-All dogs must have a valid rabies certificate that will be checked before entry. Failure to have proper rabies ID will result in dismissal from the event with no refund issued.
-Dog guardians should be aware of their dog’s behavior and must leave if requested.
-Dog guardians are responsible for the actions of their dogs. Keep your dog in sight and under voice control.
-Dogs displaying aggressive behavior or fighting must be controlled and removed. No reimbursements will be given in the case of a removal.
-Prior to entering the aquatic center, please walk your dog to help him/her relieve themselves and be sure to pick up any waste. Waste bags will be available. We would like to avoid accidents in the pool as much as possible
-Only Dogs may swim. Humans may wade up to their calves only. Locker rooms will not be open for changing.
-All dogs must be properly licensed, healthy and have current vaccinations: rabies, distemper, parvo and Bordetella.
-No puppies under 6 months allowed.
-Dogs must have a collar. Leashes must be removed when entering the pool deck. Drinking water will be provided.
-No dogs in heat allowed.
-Dog guardians must clean up after their dog.
-No human drink/food or dog food/treats allowed. Bottled water available for purchase.
-No smoking.
-No glass items permitted in the pool area.
-No running.
-No foul language or offensive behavior.
-Serious problems resulting in injury must be reported immediately.
