Park Overview

Welcome to Fay Bainbridge Park, your perfect getaway on the northeast corner of Bainbridge Island! Our 17-acre marine camping park boasts 1,420 feet of stunning saltwater shoreline and sweeping views of the Cascade Mountains and Puget Sound. You’ll love relaxing on our sandy beaches, where you might even catch a glimpse of the majestic Mount Rainier or Mount Baker on a clear day.

CAMPING

Welcome to the Fay Bainbridge Park campground, where adventure and relaxation await!

Tent Camping

With 17 spacious tent sites available for just $25 per night, you’ll enjoy easy access to multiple water locations and restroom facilities.

RV Camping

For those who prefer the comfort of an RV, we have 25 sites available with water and electricity, including our ADA-accessible site 17. Rates for RV sites are $45 per night, and limited premium sites (Sites 11-14) can accommodate vehicles up to 40 feet in length.

Cabin Rentals

In addition to tent and RV sites, we also offer five cabins. Rates for cabins start at $100 per night. Please be aware that cabin reservations for weekend stays require a minimum booking of two nights. There are several restroom facilities throughout the campground, including one with showers.

Please note that our dump station is no longer available. However, all RV sites do have water and electricity.

Most of our campsites can be reserved ahead of time. To book your site, visit our website to book online 24/7, or give us a call or stop by our Customer Service Desk at the Bainbridge Island Aquatic Center during regular business hours. Any unreserved sites will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please keep in mind that our ADA-accessible site cannot be reserved, and sites 41-44 are only available for day-of reservations. Don’t miss out on the chance to experience the great outdoors at our amazing campground – book your stay today!

Reservation Rules

  1. Reservations can be made online, in person, and over the phone.
  2. A $10.00 convenience fee will be applied to credit/debit card payments for reservations made by calling the Park District at 206-842-2302 or in person at the Aquatic Center.
  3. ADA-accessible RV Site 17 is available for reservation by phone or on-site; please call our Customer Service Desk at 206-842-2302 for phone reservations or our Camp Host at 206-565-5657 for on-site reservations at the campground.
  4. $10.00 fee for cancellations made at least ten days before the first day of your reservation. Refunds for cancellations can be requested and will be processed on a case-by-case basis.

Check-in time for campsites is 2:30pm, and check-out time is 1:00pm; for cabins, check-in time is 3:00pm, and check-out time is 11:00am.

Quiet hours are from 10:00pm to 6:30am. Engine-driven electric generators may be operated only between 8:00am and 9:00pm.

ADA-Accessible Site 17: Proof of ADA documentation is required to book our ADA-Accessible Site. If proof is unavailable upon arrival, the site reservation will be lost without a refund.

PICNIC SHELTERS

Two shelters are available to rent with a two-hour minimum and provide water and electricity. There are also 10-12 unsheltered picnic tables. Both shelters are available by reservation and accommodate groups of up to 50 people. For reservations, phone the Park District at 206-842-2302.

BOATING

Fay Bainbridge Park and nearby Fort Ward Park are both designations of the Washington Watertrails Association Cascadia Marine Trail, and camping is available at specified beach campsites. Fort Ward Park has a boat launch available.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
Quiet Hours
  • Quiet hours are between the hours of 10:00pm and 7:00am.
  • This rule is based on the Bainbridge Island Municipal Code (BIMC Ch1.26).
Hours of Operation
  • Fay Bainbridge Park is open for day use from dawn until dusk every day.
  • The park is closed to day use at dusk.
  • Guests of campers are considered day users and are to leave at dusk.
Power Generators
  • Power generators may only be used between 8:00am and 9:00pm.
  • Generators are only allowed in the RV sites.
  • They must not disrupt the neighboring campers’ stay.
Reservation
  • Once a reservation is made, please keep the email receipt available for proof of reservation.
Maximum Occupation
  • The maximum number of people per tent camping or cabin site is eight.
Minors
  • Minors under 18 cannot rent a tent site, RV site, or cabin or occupy overnight accommodation without an adult staying with them during their entire visit.
  • The Bainbridge Island Police Department and/or Child Protection Services may be called if minors are left alone in campsites or cabins unaccompanied by an adult.
Length of Stay
  • Camping and cabin rentals are limited to a 10-night stay in any 30 days.
  • Hiker/biker and kayak tent sites are limited to a two-night stay in any 30-day period.
Fireworks
  • Discharging of consumer fireworks is prohibited on Bainbridge Island and in all parks.
Fires
  • Fires on the beach are prohibited.
  • Fires are only permitted in campsites, shelters, cabin fire rings, and standup BBQs.
  • The campfire flame must not exceed two feet in height.
Firewood
  • Gathering of beach driftwood and forest wood for campfires is prohibited.
  • Firewood may be available at the Camp Host or for sale by local vendors.
Vehicles
  • RV sites are allowed one towing vehicle and one towed vehicle per site.
  • If an RV site is used for tent camping, two vehicles are allowed if no trailer or RV is included and they fit onto the site’s gravel parking pad.
  • One vehicle per tent or cabin site is included in the overnight fee.
  • Additional vehicles associated with a site rental can be parked in the general parking areas for a fee.
  • Tickets for each additional vehicle are $10 per night and are purchased at the on-site pay station.
  • Pay station receipt must be attached to the clip on the site post or cabin holder.
Pets
  • All pets must be kept under physical control, on a leash, and no greater than eight feet from the handler.
  • Pets may not be allowed to dig, disturb, or damage the natural or cultural features anywhere in the park.
  • No person shall allow their pet to bite or harass or annoy other park visitors, including other pets.
  • No person shall allow their pet to bark or disturb other campers.
  • Any person bringing a pet into the park shall collect and dispose of the animal feces in a trash waste container.
  • Pets are not allowed in restroom buildings unless they are service dogs.
  • Pets are allowed in cabins.
  • Pet owners are responsible for properly collecting and disposing of their pet waste in any camping or cabin sites.
Smoking
  • Smoking is not allowed in cabins, restrooms, or beach shelters.
Firearms and Other Weapons
  • No person shall discharge or propel across, in, or onto any park area any firearm, bow and arrow, spear, spear gun, air or gas weapon, or device capable of injuring or killing any person or animal or damage or destroy any public or private property.
Remotely Operated Aircraft and Drones
  • Due to roosting and nesting American Bald Eagles, remotely operated aircraft and drones are prohibited from use anywhere in the park.
Alcohol and Drugs
  • The consumption of alcohol or legal drugs is only permitted in designated campsites or overnight accommodations by registered occupants and their guests.
  • In any reservable group day-use facility by any authorized group with alcohol approved and authorized in the rental agreement.
  • In designated picnic areas.
  • Underage use of either alcohol or legal drugs is not permitted on park lands.
  • Using or manufacturing any illegal substance, including drugs, is prohibited and will result in expulsion and law enforcement action.
  • Public intoxication or misconduct that disrupts or causes conflict with other park users will not be tolerated, and local law enforcement will intervene when necessary. This may also result in expulsion and/or trespass from park properties.
Sleeping in Vehicles
  • Sleeping in vehicles is only allowed in the RV sites and Campsite #39. It is not permitted anywhere else in the park.
Expulsion from Park Areas
  • Any person failing to comply with park rules or regulations is subject to expulsion from park property with no right to refund or reimbursement.
    VOLUNTEER CAMP HOST

    Our Camp Hosts are guests’ first point of contact when they arrive at our campground. The Camp Host will greet the public, assist them with questions, help guests find a site, or provide guidance about the local area.

    The Camp Host is responsible for checking trash and recycling bins daily and maintaining the grounds, sites, restrooms, amenities, and additional facilities. The Camp Host will prepare campsites, maintain a reservation list, and inform guests of the campground rules. Managers assign other duties and projects.

    Camp Host will be provided an appropriate RV space with full hookups and have access to free WiFi, electricity, and a Park District cell phone.

    From Poulsbo:

    Take Hwy. 305 toward Bainbridge Island. Cross the Agate Pass Bridge. After three miles, come to a stoplight and a big brown sign with directions to park. Turn left at the traffic light onto Day Rd. NE. Travel approximately two miles to a T-intersection. Turn left onto Sunrise Drive NE, and continue 1.7 miles to the park entrance on the right.

    From the Seattle-Bainbridge Island Ferry:

    Continue straight off the ferry onto Hwy. 305. Continue out of town approximately five miles to a traffic light and a big brown sign with directions to park. Here, turn right onto Day Rd. NE. Travel about two miles to a T-intersection. Turn left onto Sunrise Drive NE, and continue 1.7 miles to the park entrance on the right.
